Speaking from experience, I believe there is really a no win, when it comes to the cost of treating any illness. Whether or not it is traditional medicine or not, someone has to pay for it. The awful part is, it is very difficult to understand medical costs and needs, especially for the person fighting to be well. It is also unfair as to who pays and who doesn't and the availability of treatment based on how you will pay for it. This is an enormous problem. There is no single perfect solution to fixing this problem, however, IT DOES NOT MEAN WE SHOULD NOT TRY!!!!!! We will not get it right, ever, because we cannot satisfy every situation. But we MUST come up with an option available to everyone! And we must continue to make this better for the person in need of medical attention.
